Illume Offers Free Acupuncture, Massage and More in San Diego

Illume, an alternative therapy center located in Encinitas California, announces the start of their community service day, called In The Light.  Illume specializes in Energetic Therapies such as Acupuncture, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Energy Psychology, Massage, and Reiki.  December 4th 2011, Illume will open it’s door to the public from 10:00am-1:00pm offering free and donation based treatments to the community.  Illume is committed to community outreach and will continue this offering the first Sunday of each month.

“There is an amazing group of people here at Illume who want the public to be able to experience Energy Therapies.  Even though these treatments have a record of impressive results, most of the public has yet to experience them.  We are committed to being of service and want to offer the community an opportunity to try some impressive therapies.” says Michelle Leuschen, co-founder of Illume.

Illume is extending the invitation for anyone to come and try out several different types of energy-based therapies.  Although there is no charge, people may feel inspired to leave a donation to help sponsor the continuation of this community service.  “It’s our hope that more and more people will come together to make this community service day possible.  We can use all types of volunteers and donations. Our aim is to grow a movement of community giving and love. We want everyone to have access to alternative treatments for the mind, spirit and body.  It’s an exciting gift to give.” states Shelly Rike, co-founder of Illume.

Illume was founded by Shelly Rike and Michelle Leuschen in March of 2011 with the mission of inviting the public to experience Energy Therapies.  Although there are many day spas and wellness centers in Encinitas, Illume is unique in that it specializes in working with a person’s energy system.  “We have health care options outside of medication and surgery.” says Acupuncturist Susannah Sunderland.  “It’s just that most people don’t know about them.  We want to expose more people to more methods that work.  Working with the energy system can be a fast and gentle way to change the root cause of a difficulty.”

Illume is located at 621 second street in Encinitas, California.  They will offer their first community service day, In the Light, on Sunday December 4^th and every first Sunday of the month thereafter.  Services offered may include Reiki, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Emotional Freedom Techniques (tapping), and Acupuncture and are appropriate for all ages.
